I keep telling myself one day I'll figure it out and be adjusted to the 'new' me. 3 1/2 years later and I'm still not in acceptance. I will read your links to gain further insight. <br />Thank You.LMnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-690850457652849477.post-75612315173975132632013-04-06T20:58:39.295-07:002013-04-06T20:58:39.295-07:00Thank you, and thank you for the link with additio...Thank you, and thank you for the link with additional info. I've spent the last three years since my first rheumatologist appointment doing everything I could trying to get to a day with no pain. Maybe I was trying to get my old body back. Yes, it took me that long to realize that that day won't come and instead I need to stop fighting my body but this realization has left me feeling very overwhelmed depressed.Juniperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06410033430157675391noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-690850457652849477.post-4217304490172158902012-06-07T22:02:49.158-07:002012-06-07T22:02:49.158-07:00LOL I am so tired, I just realized I wrote 2011 wh...LOL I am so tired, I just realized I wrote 2011 when I was actually diagnosed Jan. 2012. I am newly diagnosed (Jan. 2011) and am in the voracious reading/know your enemy stage. However, I do not have a doctor that I am comfortable with, and I am noticing twinges of depression. Your blog is so informative, and yet you manage to seem still human. Maybe there is hope for me yet!mcspireshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10129916102784468854noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-690850457652849477.post-84613552829393268642010-04-05T10:14:55.927-07:002010-04-05T10:14:55.927-07:00Your right ! I don't think I suffer from depression, per say. I definitely have days where I'm so ill that anything and everything overwhelms me.Days when pain and fatigue surpass the norm, and life is difficult to deal with, even if you're living your life in a fog-like trance. What I notice more often these days is anxiety, whether caused by food and gut problems, or my autonomic nervous system acting up. I also notice when I am over-fatigued ( is there such a thing with chronic illness?), I definitely get more emotional and weepy for no reason.I have not had the pleasure of being on any kind of anti depression meds (yet), but some days it sure feels like I could benefit from them. Or is it the people around us who really need the meds...hmmmm?! What some studies/doctors etc. fail to address is that people become depressed because of, or due to, the illness, and not the other way around. I know that my feelings are all to do with the illness, as my character was different prior to becoming ill.A very interesting subject for discussion with your doctor.annienoreply@blogger.com
